The city council-led team assembled to score the National Performance Centre for Sport for Dundee could be supported with an extra £5m of local authority capital funding.
Councillors will be asked to approve the spending, which would be put into action if Dundee’s bid wins. The city’s bid is being submitted on July 5.
The policy and resources committee will hear that the funding would help to provide the capital costs of the centre and its facilities in addition to the £25m grant that has already been pledged by the Scottish Government.
Dundee City Council is in partnership along with the University of Dundee, University of Abertay, Dundee, Dundee College, Dundee United Football Club, Dundee Football Club, NHS Tayside and Leisure & Culture Dundee.
